About Us

What To Expect At Our Service | Meet Our Pastor | Statement of Faith

At Life Community we believe that Jesus wants people to know Him. That’s why we plant churches. We exist to move people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

At Life Community we believe in creating welcoming, genuine community in an age of fractured community. Social media will never replace true community. We want to be the kind church where Jesus words “they will know you are believers by your love for one another” are truly lived out. We want to be a community that always invites and welcomes new people into relationship.

We believe that God wants us to be a people who learn to hear His voice and follow Him in faith – a faith that is rooted and anchored in His word, the Bible. We believe that the Bible can and should be communicated in a practical and engaging way. In both our kids and adult programs we do our best to teach the scriptures in a way that makes them come alive and applies them to everyday life.

We believe in BOTH AND: we do our best to create services where BOTH long time believers continue to grow AND where those who are new to church love to attend. At Life Community we believe in equipping: We desire to be a church that helps people move towards the things that God has placed on their hearts. We want to see people truly come alive and live out their unique purpose.

We believe that all followers of Jesus are called to influence others and to make other followers of Jesus (disciples). We believe that every member of Jesus’ body (the Church), in every profession or walk of life is called to live life as “full time ministry” – the primary job of our pastors and leaders is to encourage and equip YOU to do the work God’s calling you to do in the world. Life Community meets Saturdays 6PM and Sundays 10am in Grand Junction, Colorado. We launched in January of 2013 as a ministry of the Downtown Vineyard Church and became an independent church in January 2014. We identify with the Vineyard family of churches in Grand Junction and around the world. www.vineyardusa.org

What To Expect At Our Service

Casual, Come As You Are Environment. Come as you are… no need to dress up. Our services last about 1 hour. Friendly, Welcoming Community: Enjoy a cup a coffee and meet some great people. We believe that God loves EVERYONE and all are welcome! Good Music: We invite God to move in our hearts as we worship Him through singing. When we sing, we sing TO God, not just about Him. We believe that God meets us in a special way when we come together in worship. Biblical Teaching: We teach the Bible in way that relates to everyday life. We believe that the teaching of God’s Word should always lead us into deeper relationship with God and greater faith in Him. We will consistently encourage and equip you to move closer towards Jesus and into all that God has created you to be. Kids Ministry: We know most people meet God as children. We place a high priority on teaching our kids about Jesus and leading them into genuine relationship with Him. As a new ministry we are developing our children’s program. We currently offer childcare for nursery age and a Bible based program for kids up through elementary age. Youth Ministry: Our youth ministry meets mid week and is a great place for Middle and High School Students to make friends and grow in their relationship with Jesus! Contact us for more info.
