Convoy of Hope Community Event

Public Hours: Noon to 3 PM

Vision: The Body of Christ partnering with Convoy of Hope and community agencies to serve the poor and make disciples.

Overview: Area churches are partnering with CVVC and Convoy of hope, in conjunction with various area agencies to provide needed assistance to families in need. Families will receive various kinds of assistance, receive prayer and hear the Gospel.

LCC Role: Life Community Church is responsible for the Kid Zone - a safe environment where families enter for games, activities, prizes, and snacks. The goal is to give the guests a memorable, fun experience.

We're looking for Kid Zone Assistant Team Leaders!

Each Team Leader will lead a team of volunteers to plan and prepare their areas of responsibility, with support from the Kid Zone Team Leaders (Scott and Mindy Callas).
Note: all Kid Zone volunteers must have an approved background check on file with their participating church.

• Family ID Team Leader

  • Initial greeters, provide family ID for check-in

• Entrance and Exit Team Leader

  • Check-in and Check-out of families

• Games and Activities Team Leader

  • Oversee games and activities, prizes, etc.

• Entertainers & Face Painters Team Leader

  • Entertain, greet, maybe be in costume

  • Face Painting (if not a problem with Covid restrictions ... :-(

• Child Recovery Area Team Leader

  • Comfort lost children

  • Follow provided child recovery procedure

• Balloons and Decorations Team Leader

  • Distribute helium balloons

  • Oversee decoration of Kid Zone

• Concessions Team Leader

  • Serve snack foods and drinks to guest
