LIfe Community's Church Habitat for Humanity Home Construction Group Build
Saturday, Sept. 23.
Shift 1 - 8:30 a.m.-noon
Lunch - noon - 1 p.m. (Habitat provides coffee, water and snacks all day. You bring lunch, but they do have a way to keep food cold and a microwave to warm things up.)
Shift 2 - 1:30-4 p.m.
Each crew can accommodate up to 10 people. 16 years and older only. Volunteers who are 16 and 17 need to have parental permission. via a waiver. The church has waivers. Just email Melinda at melinda@lifegj.org. No one younger than 16. No pets.
Habitat provides all equipment, but if you'd like to bring your own safety eyewear, face masks, ear plugs and work gloves feel free. Habitat's construction and power tools must be used. Wear appropriate clothing - layers are suggested - to build. CLOSED TOE FOOTWEAR REQUIRED but no construction skills required. You'll be given instructions and work with construction staff. Habitat won't know until the week of what tasks you'll be doing. They need to see how many are coming and where they are on the current build.
Directions: Parking and check-in are 3041 D Road. Please park in the designated area. Do NOT park by the neighborhood of the build. Habitat signs will be posted.
